Scrapbooking Global June 2021 Blog Hop - Grab 5

Time for another blog hop with the Scrapbooking Global team.

This month it is Grab 5:

  • Diecut embellishments
  • 5 gems
  • Embossing
  • Alphabet stamps
  • Ribbon

I haven't done a scrapbook page or participated in a blog hop for quite some time, so thought it was time to get back into it.

Here is my page

I used photos from our Easter holiday to Rollingstone, which is a beautiful spot on the North Queensland Coast in Australia. The caravan park is right on the beach, and the weather was beautiful. The kids had the best time playing on the beach at low tide, riding their bikes around and playing in the pool.

The Sand and Sea suite from Stampin' Up! was the perfect match for these beach, shell and hermit crab photos.

This suite is available until 30 June and has some great products.

I used a Basic White 12x12 piece of cardstock and sprayed it with my stampin' mist with a mix of rubbing alcohol and Balmy Blue ink. Then i stamped some splotches from the stamp set in Sahara Sand and other images, which i stamped off first.

I matted all the photos on Crumb Cake card stock and stamped some of the sentiments from the stamp set in Night of Navy under the photos.

For the embossing element i used the Embossing Paste and an old cloud stencil. This provides interest and texture but without taking over from anything else.

For the alphabet stamps element i used the now retired Make a Difference to stamp the 'Holliday' title in Night of Navy ink. I lined the individual letter stamps up on my Stamparatus and alternated between the 2 plates so that i could get the letters lined up and as close together as i wanted them.

For the die-cut element i used the die from the suite, which cuts out a large image. I coloured the seaweed parts of the die cut with a sponge dauber and Old Olive ink before cutting them off the rest off the die cut.

I also stamped some of the shells from the stamp set on the matching parts of the die cut. I stamped them in Sahara Sand and gave them a bit of Wink of Stella, this smudges the ink slightly and gives a beautiful shimmer.

For the ribbon element i used a bit of old bakers twine in Night of Navy and Sahara Sand.

The last element was the five gems, for this I used some Pearl Basic Jewels in different sizes spread across the page.

I enjoyed making this page and reminiscing back to our lovely beach holliday.

Make sure, you hop along and check out all the other beautiful creations.

Thanks for stopping by.
