It is February and the Fancy Fold team is back from our Christmas Break.
I am back from Denmark, school is back, and all the extra curricular activities are back. It is a bit of a logistical puzzle working all the driving out with 2 girls and dance lessons.
This month we are doing the Diamond Flip Fold card. I started with a tutorial by Linda Bauwin and then I came across another by France Martin so I added a couple of extra cuts.
I used the Fitting Florets bundle, and the DSP is no longer available, so had to make my own.
My card base is Basic Gray layered with Night of Navy and stamped Basic White. I layered a Night of Navy square bottom angles.
I stamped the leaf and flower images on Basic White cardstock with Basic Gray ink and coloured in with the Balmy Blue, Evening Evergreen and Soft Socculent Blends. That gave me my DSP.
For my focal point a cut one of the frames from the Framed Florets dies and stamped my words in Mememto Black and another floral image in Basic Gray.
Again, i coloured with blends, adding the Polished Pink duo and then cut one of the floral dies from Night of Navy. I added this to the front diamond.
This card is super easy to make and had I used DSP it would not have taken more than 30 minutes.
It is a simple card, but it will still stand and can be on display.
