I haven't bought any of the Christmas DSP yet, so I looked through my current papers and found the Stargazing paper which I had not even opened yet. It is absolutely beautiful with galaxy patterns and planets.
I started with a 6" x 8 1/4" piece of Basic Black cardstock. As I am in Australia and using A4 paper our cardstock in not 8 1/2" wide but only 8 1/4" wide so instead of scoring at every 2 1/8" as Kristina does in her video. I scored at every 2 1/16" to get 4 even panels. I then cut 3 DSP panels to about 1 7/8 x 5 7/8" to fit with only a small border and then a Basic White panel to add a message I adhered all these with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I then cut a 1" strip of black cardstock and scored it down the middle and used this to close up the card, so make it into a 'box' which can still fold flat as a card.
I stamped the astronaut from the Reach for the Stars stamp set in Berry Burst ink on Basic White card stock. I used a Blender Pen to drag a bit of the ink into the image to soften up the lines and add a bit more colour to the image without having to colour the whole thing.
I then cut out the image with the matching die from the Reach for the Stars dies.I cut out a few of the planets from the DSP and added these to my 'front' panels.
I stamped my greeting with Memento Black ink on Basic White and added the 'bubble' stamp in Berry Burst and cut it out with one of the circles from the die set. I also cut out 2 1" circles from basic black cardstock to use to adhere my greeting circle to the center front of the card.
You score the circles in half and then adhere them on each side of the center score line of the card with score lines butting up to the card score line. Then you adhere the greeting circle or other focal piece to these two circles. This makes the card able to fold flat but makes the focal point 'pop out' when you stand the card up open.I didn't have any of the Holographic paper from the suite, but I had some old, retired stuff that I cut out some stars from and that was it.
Super cute card which can be done in about half an hour.Hope you give it a try. Let me know if you do by leaving a comment below.
